Normally I wouldn't talk about something like this, or share a link to it, but I'm making an exception in this case. gog.com is a website that built itself on digital distribution of older computer games. Though they do more than just that now, it's still a big part of their business, and they have one that I want to make people aware of, and that's King of Dragon Pass, at http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/king_of_dragon_pass, currently $6.

This is a different sort of game. It's a little bit of a strategy game, a little bit role-playing, a little bit rock'n'roll. Okay, there's no rock'n'roll in it. It's set on a fantasy world where you lead a tribe of people similar to bronze age saxons as they settle and explore a new homeland, and it is so much more fun than that sounds. I don't know how many people who read this blog are PC gamers or not, but for those who are, who like a more thoughtful, story-driven game, I urge you to take a look at this game.
